DFW is filled with a variety of museums. Last year one of those museums underwent a major renovation. Check out the new and improved, C.R. Smith Museum. There is so much to see and do at the C.R. Smith Museum from American Airlines history to interactive activities.
Enter the cockpit of a MD-80m, take a seat and get ready to “fly” the airplane as and American Airlines pilot takes you a tour of all the buttons and levers. Now head on over to the other end of the airplane and test your skill as a baggage loader. Do you have the skill and speed to make the cut? Hurry you don’t want the flight delayed waiting on the luggage.
Step back in time and board a 1940 Douglas DC3 the Flagship Knoxville. These are just a few of the engaging and educational activities you will enjoy.
C.R. Smith Museum offers Eagle Aviation Camps during the summer for 3rd – 11th graders. Registration opens soon. Girls Soar! Aviation Days is another great program promoting STEM for girls from 3rd – 12th grade. Make sure to register early, these programs fill up fast.
If you are looking for a new birthday idea, this is the place. Party room with attendance for up to 20 people. Museum admission for all attendants included in party fee. Bonus: you are allowed to bring in your own food!
