Mamma Mia playing now in Cleburne

Cleburne Carnegie Players take on the challenge of bringing Mamma Mia to life in Cleburne. This production is fun and full of energy. I attended Sunday matinee performance last weekend and what a treat it was.

Sophie, played by Alyson Kessinger, on the verge of getting marriage has devised a plan to find her father. Her plan quickly escalates as all three men she contacted have responded and will be arriving in time for her wedding. Kessinger’s voice is full of emotion that matches well with her yearning for answers. She brought to life a lovable character, whom everyone was cheering on to find happiness.

Donna (Kat Endsley) has a strong voice that commands the stage together with her best friends, Rosie (Becki Esch) and Tanya (Emily Bailey). This is quite a dynamic trio. They commanded the stage and engaged the audience throughout the show. They are charismatic and very talented. Their voices are strong in both dialogue and song. They truly portray their flamboyant characters very well.

Get ready to laugh, cry and even dance with the cast. It will be a fun evening you will be talking about for a while. Congratulations Director Kate Hicks, you “knocked this one out of the park”.

Make sure to enter your name in the drawing, you might even win free ticket to their next show.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.carnegieplayers.org or by phone at (682) 317-3644. This is a show you do not want to miss. And for just $20.00 a ticket, you just cannot pass it up.

Combining my love of writing and live theater I began publishing with Examiner.com in 2009. Since that time I have expanded my contributions to numerous forms of live entertainment, film and much more. In July of 2016 Examiner.com shut down their website. I decided to continue exploring and sharing my adventures through my own blogging site. Becoming a resource for my audience seeking entertainment options in the DFW area is a top priority.
